How To Quantify The Experience On Your Resume
The Words You Say Matters
Within your resume, you might be asking if it is ok to fluff up your resume with all of your experience and if the words really matter? The words you say on your resume matter, and sticking to the facts only, on your resume will take you farther than you think. Facts with quantifiable numbers can make an immediate impact.
Walkthrough the process of leveling up your experience in 2021, specifically your resume. Quantify the experience on your resume by using numbers to detail the results you achieved. Let the reader know just how much, how long, how fast, how many, and how often you achieved a certain goal, performed a certain task, or saved the company money and/or resources.
Adding numbers makes it easier for the reader to focus on these specific facts and to quantify your specific experience. This factual proof allows you to stick out from other applicants under consideration for the same position for which you’ve applied. Check out the example below.
Example:
FROM THIS: Managed a team of direct reports towards full-cycle recruitment efforts
TO THIS: Managed 3 teams of full-cycle recruiters in 4 countries, forming 10 new partnerships within the first year of our contract award, successfully hiring 90% of candidates ahead of the projected schedule.
Each bullet point in your resume should have a quanifiable number. That number should be verifiable, if your potential employer were to contact your past employer.
