Cold calling is the tried and true strategy for sourcing candidates, which is why we still use it today in addition to our warm calling.  Using an effective warm call lead generation strategy, we are able to determine exactly which HR compensation professionals meet the job’s criteria and their likelihood responding positively. This can drastically shorten the time wasted cold calling candidates who aren’t qualified and decreases the overall cost of sourcing.

We make it very well known to the compensation professionals we recruit that even if they are not interested in a position we represent, if they refer someone to us who takes one of our positions we will gladly remunerate such referrals with substantial referral bonuses. Such bonuses can be paid directly to the referring individual themselves or to a non-profit organization that they designate. We do this because after all – compensation people – are all about financial incentives!

Why search the job boards for your next hire? TalentSmiths realizes job board promotion has already failed and we do not think you should use us in order to do the things you can easily do yourself. We are not in any way anti-job board (perhaps we are averse to the extortive fees they often charge), but we just do not think it is the most viable method of sourcing HR compensation professionals.   1. CONSULTATION: Free opportunity for mutual vetting, as we need to gather some basic information about your specific search needs.
  2. SITE VISIT:  In most cases, we will come to your office to conduct a new client site visit in order to adequately promote your company and your community. Questionnaires can be completed in lieu of a site visit.
  3. SOURCING CAMPAIGN: In promoting your opening we put ‘your best foot forward’.  Social media methods, broadcast emailing to warm-calling allow us to embark upon the most comprehensive and effective nationwide recruitment campaign.
  4. INTERVIEWING: We will mutually determine with you which candidates we have referred that warrant further inquiry into their candidacy for your position in the form of first a phone interview and an in-person or Skype interview.
  5. OFFER/NEGOTIATION: We will assist in crafting an offer for each candidate we refer who you desire to employ. We often encourage you to take a very agile stance with respect to candidate offers, since all HR compensation professionals are not created equal and therefore some might be worth more than others.
  6. CLOSING: We are closers!  We know that more than anything else time kills deals and the longer a prospective candidate sits on an offer, the less likely they are to actually accept your offer.
